Budgeting

This year I decided to start buckling down and doing better with our budget. Hubby just started a new business venture as a real estate agent, and would like to make it full time someday, so I want us to start saving more now! And the fact that it is the beginning of a new year is a bonus! We’ve always been HUGE Dave Ramsey fans, and have followed a lot of his advice. But, I just wanted to do better… so I went to his website and printed off the budget forms, and we’re off! I’ll keep updating our progress with the budgeting, and share any tips I learn a long the way!

What are your favorite tips for staying on budget?

Here are the forms we’re using: http://www.daveramsey.com/tools/budget-forms/?snid=tools.forms

And if you don’t know much about Dave Ramsey- check out his website while you’re there! He’s very inspiring and gets you motivated. I just read his new book- and would recommend it to anyone with kids, as it teaches you how to teach them about money.

Let me know what you think! Who wants to get out of debt and save money with me?

I’ll be posting pics of my kitchen mini makeover soon- so stay tuned!

Dave Ramsey is the man! I actually JUST posted something that I think you might like. It is an excel workbook that I found that uses his debt payoff theories, and creates an interactive debt payoff spreadsheet for you! I would definitely suggest checking it out. My hubby and I will be using it to try to pay down student loan debt this year, and so far it looks so much easier than anything I've come across yet!

Also, LOVE your blog! Its so pretty:)
