Let’s face it, as Moms we rarely have time to actually wash our hair. Sure, we can hop in the shower, but washing, drying, and styling our hair has become a luxury. Especially this summer, when we’re constantly running from the pool to the park to the splash pad and so on. Who has the time? I’m even more in this boat, recovering from surgery has me not wanting to even attempt to fix my hair. That’s where dry shampoo comes in.
G and G Organics makes vegan, organic, sulfate-free, fragrance-free, and cruelty-free dry shampoo. Dry shampoo has become a Mom’s new best friend. I have tried SO many of them over the last 4 years. The problem? They ALL broke out my hands- because most of them contain a chemical cocktail so strong that just one spray or sprinkle caused my skin to immediately react. I had all but given up on being able to use dry shampoo, until I heard about this Lavender and Bergamot Organic Natural Dry Shampoo.
This chemical-free, gentle formula is suitable for all hair colors and types. The lavender is gentle and the smell is super light and not at all irritating. Just a sprinkle over my roots, and the oils are absorbed and I can go another day (ahem…or 2) without shampooing. This has come in handy many times when I had to be somewhere last minute, and just did not have the time or energy to completely restyle my hair. I will say, my hair is really dark, so I have to make sure I get it all blended in nicely so the shampoo doesn’t show. But, with a little work, it looks great! I also noticed they have a product formulated for darker hair so I may pick that one up next time.
They also have these adorable travel sizes that are perfect for tossing in your purse for vacay or in your gym bag. I carry it with me in case of a hair emergency and it’s so tiny you don’t even notice. But, because you have to use so little product to get the job done, even the travel size lasts forever!
I’m also dying to try the Grapefruit and Sweet Orange scented one, I bet it’s perfect for summer. Toss it in your pool bag and getting ready will be a snap!
