I Found the Dining Table of My Dreams- Mrs. Bishop

I HAVE INTERNET!

Honestly one of the hardest parts of moving is that you don’t have time for a life for awhile with all of the cleaning and the unpacking. The second hardest part was waiting for our internet to be switched over. But, seriously.

We still have a ton of work to do, and hours upon hours of painting ahead of us. But, we’re starting to turn our new house into a home.

I knew we would need a new dining table, because the people who bought our last house asked us to leave our DIY’d Cluster Table behind. It wouldn’t have fit into our new space anyway, so I was glad it would have a happy home.

After a few weeks of looking- I happened upon the dining table of my DREAMS this weekend. I have been on the hunt for an old, round, wooden table for ages. I thought I would have to put the work in and re-do it myself, but miracle of miracles, I happened upon this one (in my new FAVORITE store I might add- my poor husbands wallet is going to be hurting).

table1We don’t have a huge dining area, and this little lady is the PERFECT fit. Pretty soon we won’t have a sectional behind her, but we’re trying to work with what we’ve got for now.

table2I adore the teal-ish color, and the shabby chic design. The table and chairs are old and solid, and just have SO much character. The chairs were even locally made in Indiana, forever ago. And the details are just lovely. (Also imagine white cabinets and new counter-tops).

damask chair cushionsI could not love this table more! And it looks perfect set with my Mother’s Day Present: my new Pioneer Woman Dinnerware. And some old mason jar style glasses.

table6What do you think? I hope you love it as much as me.  I can’t wait to share more of this journey with you- our new home in a new town. I’ll be updating all of the little changes we’re making and the fun decor and accessories we’ll be adding. And if you’re local check out Happy Nest. It has the most amazing pieces with affordable prices. This isn’t even sponsored, I’m just hooked!

PS- I’m taking ALL of the suggestions on paint colors…because every room in this place is getting painted. So, please comment with your favorites. I tend to stay in the blue/gray ranges, but am up for all sorts of recommendations.
