So, my bathrooms are dirty- really, really dirty. But, hey I’ve been pregnant for 9 months and then had surgery. My hubby is a great helper, but a shower scrubber, he is not. I started to clean my bathrooms and realized that I was out of bathroom cleaner. What’s a girl to do??? A friend of mine from facebook suggested I try making my own homemade bathroom cleaner. I’m semi-crafty, so I thought, what the heck? Here’s the recipe…

Take an empty spray bottle, fill it with about half a cup of dawn dish detergent, then fill the rest of the way with vinegar. Easy peasy, right?

I used a dollar tree spray bottle, dawn with olay hand renewal (why not have soft hands from cleaning, right?) and some cheap vinegar I picked up somewhere.

I filled it about 2/3 with vinegar, then the rest water, since the dawn was ultra-concentrated. It also helped cut down on the vinegar-y smell.

Here’s my bathroom sinks before:

And of course, the bathtub…don’t judge me…remember I was pregnant and had surgery..excuses, I know!

This is a huge improvement, especially since I couldn’t scrub super hard since I’m still healing.

I’m pretty sure I’ll never buy bathroom cleaner again. This was super cheap and easy, and did an amazing job. The only slight complaint is that it smells like vinegar, but hey, bathroom cleaner doesn’t smell like roses either!
