Finding Our New Normal
As you may have seen from my many social media posts- I started homeschooling my little Kindergartner this week. First of all, how he is old enough to be in school is beyond me. They’re not kidding when they say time flies!
Second, I haven’t been as active on here, because I am trying to find my new normal. That of teacher, mother, housewife, blogger, friend, etc.
We are LOVING homeschool. I know we’re only 3 days in, and probably in a week I’ll be back on here complaining about how hard it is- but it is such a blessing to be able to teach my son and watch him learn so many new things. We prayed long and hard on the decision whether or not to send him to public school, which we have NOTHING against by the way. Hubby and I both had great public school experiences. But, I know deep down this was completely the right decision for our family.
So much has changed in our lives over the past few months. Me finding a diagnosis after months of sickness, moving to a new town where we know NO ONE, and now homeschool. I feel like I’m living in a bit of a blur- on the outside looking in. But, we’re finally finding a groove, and it’s a good one. I’m not sure we’ve ever been happier or closer as a family.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds, and the many adventures we’re going to experience. So, please bear with me as we navigate this brand new terrain. And pray for us!
Stay tuned as I have lots of new things coming- and tons of new stuff to share!

August 20, 2017 at 7:36 amI’m still not sure if I’ll homeschool Izzy or not. She’s 2.5 so I have time to think about it. I mean I pretty much homeschool her right now and I love it
