The first of many posts about my living room! We started a couple of months ago by ripping up our carpets. We found some pretty awesome hardwood underneath, but the previous owners had gotten paint all over it. Since it was before the holidays, we had to live with it like that until we could afford to refinish them. So they started out like this:
So we had to do a little of this and a LOT of that:

And some staining too:
And we ended up with some pretty beautiful hardwood!
(it’s still drying in this photo, but it turned out awesome!)
(and that ugly ceiling fan is next to go on my to do list! lol)
Then, being me- I decided I needed a more neutral wall paint to go with the “new” floors. We already ordered new furniture as well, so I was ready for a change (even though we just painted the walls this red less than 2 years ago, teehee!)

The walls are a little wet still in the photo, but isn’t that color so calming and comfy?! I think so! And aren’t my new chairs ADORABLE?! Next week we’re putting up our new trim, getting a rug, and hopefully picking out some new curtains! Can’t wait to post more pics as we get more done- stay tuned!!!
