Soapgirl: Handcrafted Artisanal Soaps and Sundries- Mrs. Bishop

*I was given this product in exchange for an honest review- all opinions are my own*

For this month’s first sensitive skin product review, I want to share with you Soapgirl: Handcrafted Artisanal Soaps and Sundries.

I came upon her site, and I was really impressed with her selection of soaps that are locally made with fresh organic ingredients. You may be thinking- it’s just soap? But it’s so much more than that. There are so many toxic ingredients hiding in traditional bar soaps, that actually dry and irritate your skin.

But not these!

In her own words:

“My soaps are handcrafted in small batches using a traditional cold process method. They cure for at least four weeks to create a hard, long lasting bar that is gentle on the skin. I only use the finest organic vegetable base oils and the freshest, highest quality ingredients. Just as important as what is in my soap is what isn’t – no detergents, additives, or preservatives. Pure soap will gently wash away dirt without stripping the skin of its natural moisture.”

I always have to be super careful when using any “soap” because most irritate my super sensitive skin. But, Soapgirl makes ones specifically without any other added ingredients- just soap. No scents, no frills, just the good stuff. This Plain Jane soap is perfect for my fellow sensies!

She also sent me this Grapefruit and Sea Salt soap- which smells AMAZING! The grapefruit is super refreshing and the salt is exfoliating. My skin felt amazing after, and even though it was scented, it felt fine on my skin.

Not only is this great soap- her products are beautiful. I would never have before called soap pretty- but it really is! The holiday season is upon us, and these would make perfect gifts for friends.

Seriously…look how cute they are-

And she doesn’t only make bar soap. She also makes Liquid Soap, Masks, Lotion Bars, Hair bars, and Toners.
