Homeschool on the Go with Bookshark – Mrs. Bishop

*Disclosure- I received this curriculum in exchange for sharing our homeschool journey. All opinions are my own.*

My favorite part about homeschool is how flexible it is. We can do school in the morning, the afternoon, on the weekend. Any time of the day that we want to! Which makes making time for field trips, vacations, and down time so much easier. We’re not slaves to a schedule, and I love that. We can take our curriculum with us wherever we’re going, and get our work done around our schedule. Bookshark has made it SO much easier, because it’s all in one. With Indiana’s Spring weather finally arriving, we can take Bookshark anywhere with us, even outdoors or to the park!

And the binder goes everywhere with us. Because it contains our core subjects, we could just take that and a few books to keep our day light. Or go ahead and take all of our books and spend the entire day outside! I love that we can keep everything contained, and even take our homeschool on vacation with us, so we can go places when they’re not over crowded!

There’s something beautiful about reading outside with the breeze blowing and the birds chirping. My hyperactive kiddo even seems to listen better with the sun shining down on us as we read about space, mountains, and the adventures of Dr. John Doolittle. We’re in our 31st week of homeschool, and with Bookshark holding my hand, each week has gotten easier instead of harder!

Read a chapter in the hammock- which is my favorite reading spot. Homeschooling outside, or at the park, might be my favorite place to teach-and my son’s favorite place to learn.

Kindergarten has flown by, and we’re going to soak up as much sun as we can these last 5 weeks! This year has been such a blast, both of us learning together- I can’t wait to get my 1st grade curriculum in the mail!

Do you homeschool on the go? Bookshark makes it so easy, if you haven’t tried it yet, you need to!
