My Age Defying Nighttime Skincare Routine for Mid 30’s Skin – Mrs. Bishop

I had to share my Nighttime Skincare Routine with you to go along with the Morning Skincare post that I put up a few days ago. I mean, who wants to only see half the story, right? My nighttime routine is a little more in depth than my morning one, but it only takes me a few extra minutes each night, and it has made a huge difference with the health of my skin.

Double Cleanse

If I am wearing makeup, I always add an extra step to my nighttime skincare routine. I use either makeup remover wipes or micellar water to help get my makeup off before cleansing. This ‘double cleansing’ method really helps keep your skin clean from all the oils and bad stuff that makeup deposits. Clean skin= happy skin! My *favorite* makeup wipes are these Alba 3 in 1 Towelettes. I like the smell, they’re gentle, and just a nice first step to my routine. I’ve had this Pacifica Micellar Cleansing Tonic forever and pretty much only reach for it when I’m out of makeup wipes, just out of convenience. But, it gets the job done too. Pacifica is another one of those brands that I pretty much love all of their products. If I’m wearing heavy eye makeup, I also go ahead and use the Physicians Formula Coconut Milk Eye Makeup Remover– it helps a lot with liquid eyeliner and waterproof mascara!

Next, I use a gentle cleanser to remove the rest of whatever is left over. I’ve been loving this Andalou Naturals Coconut Water Firming Cleanser because it is extra gentle and doesn’t dry out my face before bed. It also smells amazing- if that matters- but, I have used some really weird smelling natural products over the years, so I appreciate that!

A lot of times I also use a toner after I cleanse- I shared my current favorite in my previous beauty post.

Serums and Eyes

Andalou Naturals Serums have become some of my new recent favorites, because they’re kind of a blend between a serum and a cream. This Revitalize Serum has really changed my skin the most out of any recent products I’ve purchased. I noticed I was starting to wake up with dry, flaky skin and once I added this to my routine, that stopped. It makes me wake up with soft, supple skin now and it won’t be too heavy for warmer months either. I need to get my hands on some more because I am dangerously close to running out!

Maybe it makes me a little fussy that I started using a separate eye cream at night- but I’m a little extra like that… This Coconut Water Eye Lift Cream is a little heavier than my day time one, so I only use it at night. And, I’ve noticed that my eyes are a little less dried out in the morning since I’ve started using it! My skin likes to dehydrate while I’m sleeping, apparently. But these products help a lot!

Last, but not least- I LOVE this Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream. I’ve used it on and off for the last couple of years and I keep reaching for it. And I’ll keep on reaching for it!
