How to Wear Velvet this Holiday Season
*Disclaimer- as a Pink Blush Style Ambassador, I receive clothes in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I only share things that I love.*
I’m going to be honest…I was not into the velvet craze when it rolled back around. I remember a velvet dress that I had as a child and it was hot, itched, and made me look like a stiff piece of Christmas decor. I’ve stayed away from it since. But, when I saw these pieces from Pink Blush come across my feed I thought, “Hmm…those are pretty cute, maybe I’ll give this velvet thing ONE MORE try.” And I’m in love.
This Black Crushed Velvet 3/4 Sleeve Maxi Dress is one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing that I own! It is so soft! It hugs my curves and slides all the way down to the floor. It’s also surprisingly breathable- not at all hot. I was worried that black velvet would be too Halloween, but it totally isn’t. It is going to be perfect for Holiday parties. It’s also not going to be too tight when I overindulge in all of the Christmas goodies.
Did I forget to mention it had pockets?! That sold me. I may need it in every color.
If you need me I’ll be sipping eggnog and wearing this dress every chance I can get.
Add some sparkle and this will also be perfect for NYE and you won’t freeze your butt off either!
If you’re not into the whole dress thing- this Navy Velvet Bell Sleeve Open Back Top is another fun option. It’s simple, elegant, and again- ridiculously comfortable.
The bell sleeves make it feel festive and fun, with a little bit of a retro vibe. I mean- and it’s velvet.
The open back makes it feel sexy and perfect for a party. Throw your hair into a high pony or messy bun and you’re ready to rock. Or be in bed by 8- whatever floats your boat!
Embrace velvet this Holiday season- you’ll look glam and no one has to know how comfortable you are.
