If you’ve read my blog for very long, you know I love placemat throw pillows. They are super simple, very inexpensive, and can make any sort of statement that you want.I started a couple of years ago, and now I’ve been trying to make them for more holidays. A throw pillow is an easy accessory for any time of year. I’m not gonna post a full tutorial since I’ve posted them in previous posts, so I’ll include that at the end.
First, you find a placemat, making sure it’s one with backing. I like the quilted look of this one, and the bright colors, since my baby boy is drawn to them.
Gather your materials- placemat, seam ripper, needle, thread, poly fil. That’s all you need. Then rip out a seam on the back, I usually do the bottom, and stuff your pillow to it’s desired fluffiness. Sew it back up with coordinating thread and enjoy!
Check out my Fall Pillow from a placemat.
And stay tuned for more upcoming Holiday Craftiness!!!
