1 Year Ago Today – Mrs. Bishop

One year ago, today, I was anxiously awaiting to go to the hospital to be induced. They kept putting it off, because apparently everyone wanted to have their babies on Valentine’s Day. I actually DIDN’T want him to be, but I figured he would come the next day. I had been having slight contractions all day long, and was ready to get the little stinker out of there!

Finally, the hospital let us come in at about 11pm. As soon as they hooked me up to monitor his heart, we knew something was wrong. His heart rate was decelerating with every slight contraction. Within an hour they decided he would never tolerate being induced, so they rushed me into a c-section. I didn’t even have time to be nervous. I was just so excited to meet my baby boy.

By the time it was said and done, he arrived on February 15th at 1:23am. Weighing in at 5lbs 3oz, 18.5 inches long. His cord was wrapped around his neck twice, so I was so very thankful they got him out of there so quickly! I finally got to hold my sweet and tiny baby boy. This has been the craziest, most exciting and exhausting year of my life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy (almost) Birthday Baby B!!!
