A lot of people don’t know that cleaning products are sometimes an issue for people with sensitive skin..but it really is a big issue. Certain products that I’ve cleaned my counter with, broke my arms and hands out after I touched the counter. And don’t get me started when it comes to my skin coming in contact with the product…..itch and burn city! So, along with skin care products, I’ve been on the lookout for cleaning products for those of us with sensitive skin.
I was given the opportunity to try out some cleaning products from an awesome company- babyganics. A line of baby safe products created by 2 childhood best friends.
They have a huge range of products; hygiene, laundry, skincare, home, bath, diapering, and more. Their goal is to create a baby-safe world, making products that are
- non-toxic
- non-allergenic
- non-irritating
They sent me their line of cleaning products, and I was super impressed. Their cleaning products are plant-based and non-allergenic. And most of them are fragrance free! When I saw fragrance free tub and tile cleaner- I knew I had to give it a try…
So, I put it to the test, in my very dirty master bathroom, my least favorite room to clean.
And guys- it worked! I was too embarrassed to take before photos, because it was grimy. We have hard water so our sink and shower gets disgusting. But hard water and soap scum were no match for this powerhouse cleaner. It’s fragrance free- it does have a “smell” but has no added fragrance, and didn’t leave fumes like a normal cleaner. I didn’t feel like I had to wear a gas mask while I was cleaning my shower! Win-win!
They also sent me this amazing Muli Surface Cleaner- which had the lightest citrus scent, which made all of the other surfaces smell so fresh and clean.
And the best part? It worked SO good on my mirror. Usually the natural surface cleaners leave streaks behind and have my grabbing for my Windex…but not this stuff. Not a streak to be found!
And it left my counter-tops sparkling.
This was my favorite product of the bunch.
They also sent me these All Purpose Surface Wipes.
Perfect for wiping down my kitchen counter while cooking, and taking to church to wipe down the toddler room. I love that I don’t have to worry about it leaving any chemical residue behind!
And this Toy and Highchair cleaner is great too!
I remember back in the “highchair days” wondering what the heck I was supposed to clean it with- and they totally solved that problem. I use it to wipe down my little guy’s kid table, and it’s good for wiping down his toys when they get sticky—everything is sticky when you have a toddler.
They also have a stain and odor remover, which I used just this morning to get nutella out of the little man’s t-shirt, and a stain off the couch last week. It worked great!
Last but not least, their alcohol-free hand sanitizing wipes. I popped these into the diaper bag and use them when we go out to eat or after the park- perfect for wiping hands and faces. They have a light mandarin scent, and didn’t irritate my sensitive toddler’s skin, at all!
I was beyond impressed with all of these products. I spilled some on my hand and it didn’t burn, itch, irritate, or bother me in the slightest. Normally just a few drops of normal cleaner has me running for the sink, and will immediately cause my hands irritation. Not this stuff! It felt like water.
I still wear gloves when cleaning, just because even getting my hands wet too often breaks them out. But I was surprised out how gentle this stuff was. And amazed with how clean it got everything. I’m a fan. And a customer now for sure.
(One tip: it says on all of the cleaning products to shake well before cleaning. Do it. It made a difference in how well it worked. And it worked awesome!)
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a great product, that’s reasonably priced, and you can feel good using it around your kiddos. Give it a try!
