Last week I talked about Skin Care for Toddlers with Sensitive Skin and my favorite products to take care of it.
This week, I’m talking about skin care for the whole family.
Now that summer is upon us, we all need to pay more attention to our skin. Sun exposure, dry skin, pool skin, sand, and all the other irritants we encounter in the warmer months, all wreak havoc on our skin. Especially those of us with super sensitive skin.
This year has been particularly bad on my hands, because I’ve been lathering up my toddler with sunscreen just about every day. Those smelly sprays and greasy creams have left my hands itchy for the last time, because I’ve found this stuff: Vanicream Sunscreen.
It’s SPF 50+ so it’s perfect for the whole family, even the little ones. It’s also water resistant up to 80 minutes, which is much longer than those other brands. And best of all it’s free of:
- dyes
- parabens
- fragrances
- lanolin
- and other additives
I can feel good about what I’m putting on my kiddo’s skin, and my hands don’t break out from putting it on him. It’s non greasy, which makes it great for my Hubby and I as well.
They also have an awesome Lip Protectant/Sunscreen. I never thought about how sensitive our lips are to the sun before, but they also need protecting.
This stuff is awesome! It made my lips surprisingly soft, almost like it was a lip cream, that just has the added benefit of also protecting them from the sun’s harmful rays.
So, this summer, when you are heading outside, don’t forget to protect yourself. And, more importantly, use something that works, and won’t irritate your skin….I have seen so many posts lately about people saying that their kids are breaking out from all the chemicals in their sunscreen, and I am happy to say, we have had a rash-free summer.
