This year has flown by.
It has been quite an eventful year for us. In both good and bad ways. There was a promotion, a big move, a new house. The start of Homeschool Kindergarten.
There were also a slew of medical tests, and we lost a few people that we love.
I didn’t have a resolution to stick to. I honestly had no idea what to expect, because there was so much change happening all at once. All I do know is that it went by so quickly, that I’m left here scratching my head, trying to figure out where all of the time went.
December passed us by quickest of all! After Thanksgiving, it felt like we went straight to Christmas. I feel like we’ve reached that stage of life where the years feel bitter-sweetly short.
I have no plans for 2018 either. No resolutions. With time slipping through my fingers like water, the only thing I want to do is to be intentional with my family time. To savor these sweet moments.
I do want to remember to write more in my gratitude journal. To pen my gratitude, lest I forget how truly blessed we are. But, most of all- in this stage of life- family, friends, breaking bread, being present…that’s where it’s at.
So, bring on 2018. I think we’re ready for you.
