I was so excited when I spotted Love Beauty and Planet on store shelves a couple of months ago. Finding a brand that is more socially conscious, better for the environment, with better ingredients that are better for you- that’s also available at your local department store? I was sold.
GOOD FOR THE PLANET
Love Beauty and Planet makes their products with 100% recycled bottles, and right now they’re working on their caps. Their conditioners are fast rinse- so you use less water, but your hair is still left soft and smooth. This helps you save up to 20% more water each year. Even more if you’re a ‘only wash my hair every 3 days’ kinda gal like me. The scents are made with products that are ethically sourced- and they smell like heaven!
I will say, with my overly sensitive skin, I can’t use these products every day- because my skin can’t handle it. But, since I do only wash my hair every few days, it’s totally fine. If you can’t handle heavily scented products, you may need to give them a sniff before buying. The Argan Oil and Lavender scent is absolutely heavenly, but it is strong. The nice thing is, that your hair will smell delicious for days- and your hair will feel clean for just as long.

My favorite part of these products are what they’re formulated without.

- No Parabens
- No Dyes
They’re plant based and vegan as well, with some natural and organic ingredients. Which is almost impossible to find at your local drugstore.
The Smooth and Serene Argan Oil and Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner for frizzy hair worked great on me. I’ve been testing it for a few weeks, and I’ve been super impressed with the results (especially at such a low price point- under $7 a bottle!). Like I said, I love the smell because it’s not overwhelming, but every time I wash my hair with it my Husband asks what I used. It’s gentle enough on my skin, as long as I only use it every couple of days. And my hair never ends up feeling greasy- even if I only wash 2-3 times a week.
I would definitely re-purchase these products, and will definitely be testing out some of their others. I really want to test out the rest of the Argan Oil and Lavender Line as well as these Dry Shampoos– which I haven’t found in stores locally just yet.
