I’ve always wanted somewhere to hang my Christmas cards. I usually just ended up sticking them in a little Christmas-y bucket, but no one could see how cute they were. I decided to come up with a simple solution. I didn’t want to spend any money on it, because it’s Christmas time. I went into my craft closet and brought out some old Christmas decorations. And this is what I came up with.
Excuse the pictures, it’s a long, but not very wide hallway. So, I couldn’t stand back far enough to get a good picture. I had to take them all from the side.
All I used were a few command hooks (the temporary decorator’s best friend), a piece of ornament beaded garland, and some clothes pins. All things I had on hand, so it was absolutely free.
I put a command hook on each end, and one in the middle, so that the weight of the cards wouldn’t drag it down.
I can use the clothes pins to clip them above and below the garland, which will come in handy once more and more cards start rolling in. All in all, a free, very simple project, that allows me to display my Christmas cards. That’s a win-win-win.
And, because I used command hooks, it will easily come down once the holidays are over.
Still have a few more Christmas posts to share, and a super yummy hot chocolate recipe coming up soon! Have you made any super simple Christmas items this year???
